Vita Oleum, translating to ‘life oil’ in Latin, embodies our mission to bring the life-enhancing benefits of pure essential oils into your daily routine.

The journey began in 2020 when our founder, Yolandi Matthee, identified a need for consistently high-quality, reliable essential and carrier oils for her Massage Academy. Amidst the challenges of the pandemic, she launched Vita Oleum to ensure her students and clients had access to the very best nature has to offer.

As the business grew, Carllo Swanepoel joined as the Product and Business Developer, focusing on sourcing, innovation, and expanding the reach of our pure, natural, and undiluted oils. Together, we remain committed to the original vision: professional-grade oils for everyone.

Our Commitment to Quality

We take pride in the purity of our oils. Each of our essential oils is extracted from a single botanical source and remains unadulterated and undiluted. This ensures that you experience the natural aroma and beneficial compounds of the plant in its purest form. While our range primarily includes conventional oils, we can also supply organic oils upon request.

Standardized Oils

We understand the importance of consistency in both aroma and therapeutic properties. That’s why some of our oils are standardized, as indicated on our packaging. These oils undergo a process to ensure a consistent chemical composition, providing you with a reliable product from batch to batch.

Supporting Local Producers

At Vita Oleum, we believe in the power of community. We’re proud to support over 40 local farmers who supply us with locally produced oils. For oils not available locally, we source from reputable importers. We’re a proudly South African company, committed to supporting local businesses.
